Volunteer
Volunteers are a huge part of what makes the Multicultural Institute work. From serving food to patrolling our streets to mentoring our staff, we would love your help.
These are our opportunities:
Food Distribution - help us sort, organize, and hand out food to our community. Anyone is welcome, but if you have food safety certification or Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, French or other languages that would be especially helpful.
Adopt a Corner - sign up for shifts to keep our streets safe. Patrollers will learn about monitoring and recording activity to protect our jornaleros.
Events - community, staff, and fundraising events are in the DNA of MI. We need help in planning and on the day to prepare and serve food, solicit donations, and setup/strike.
Education - we offer a range of educational opportunities including youth mentorship, computer skills, GED, citizenship, and more. Spanish skills are important in our educational offerings.
Other - do you have another idea for how you can support? Let us know! We’ve had help with graphic design, leadership coaching, facilities work, and more. Tell us about yourself and we will do our best to put you to work.
