Our Job Placement Assistance programs match homeowners/contractors in the East Bay and in San Mateo County with day laborers whose skills match specific work demands. A printable flyer about hiring laborers is available here.
We are not involved in actual hiring or payment; neither is it our role to check laborers' work eligibility or provide workers' compensation insurance. However, we do follow up with both employers and workers in regard to their mutual satisfaction. Wages for jobs referred through our program usually range from $12-15 per hour, often higher than the average wage workers obtain negotiating directly on the street.
